Desert Reverie takes place on fragile desert land that we are privileged to be on. This environment is beautiful yet easily damaged. We ask everyone attending to move with care and intention. Please help us protect this place by following these guidelines:
land care & leave no trace
-
Everything you bring with you must leave with you. Use designated compost, recycling, and trash areas when available.
-
Do not climb rocks or cliffs and avoid stepping on cryptobiotic soil, which is essential to the desert ecosystem and can take decades to recover once damaged.
-
Observe from a distance. Do not feed, disturb, or remove plants, rocks, or animals.
-
Do not create new campsites or fire rings.
-
Use the provided toilets. Do not urinate or defecate on the land.
-
Before leaving, take a few minutes to scan your area for micro-trash like bottle caps, zip ties, and cigarette butts.
Our ability to return to this land depends on collective responsibility. Thank you for helping us care for this place and for each other.
